Tree Planting Initiatives

To achieve our environmental aims, Fourfront Group has partnered with the Forestry Commission to develop a conservation volunteering scheme. Recent voluntary schemes include Alice Holt Forest in Surrey and Moor Trees in Dartmoor.

Environmental Educational Project

In November 2011, Fourfront Group embarked on the sponsorship of a 12-month environmental educational project with Ashley Primary School in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. The project, with this leading sustainable school, will focus around the planting of the first native species apple orchard to be planted in a school in the country. In addition there will be a structured educational programme for the school pupils which will become part of their educational curriculum and will cover everything from the planting and nurturing the trees to harvesting, cooking and composting. Other initiatives with Ashley Primary School include the planting of soft fruit bushes and the purchase of 2,000 bees. Fourfront Group employees have been instrumental in helping establish this educational project and have taken great pride in seeing the difference their efforts will make.
